The making of "Cadáveres"

"Nobody watches music videos anymore"

That's what a bunch of people said when we brought up the idea of making one.

But "Cadáveres" is one of those songs that had plans of its' own. The melody and the lyrics had been around for a little over a year. When our close friend and collaborator Jimmy Pol showed the main riff and lead to Paúl, everything came together quickly.

The song wrote itself. It was like it already existed and just needed people to interpret it.

So why a video?

Well, why not? Why not make our art the best and most complete version of itself possible?

When the song was done, the concept of people digging their own graves was clear. We put a team together to help us bring it to life.

The band scenes were filmed in Chicago. All with borrowed film equipment and a borrowed studio.

The outdoor scenes were filmed in the Dominican Republic with help from friends, family and a very dedicated actor.

It ended up being not just one of our favorite videos, but one of our proudest creations.

It's always worth it to make art for yourselves, not an algorithm
