We're (Finally) going South again. Atl & FL in July!
When this band first moved to the US from the Caribbean, Florida was our first home. It was a training course in living in America; a love/hate relationship... but it made us stronger. It's taken us 10 full years but we're finally coming back your way. We hope to see old friends and make new ones. So many people have asked when we would go. So many orders of merch have been shipped there. So many Latin@s que no hemos visto en mucho tiempo o que no hemos conocido aún... ya es

The making of "Cadáveres"
"Nobody watches music videos anymore" That's what a bunch of people said when we brought up the idea of making one. But "Cadáveres" is one of those songs that had plans of its' own. The melody and the lyrics had been around for a little over a year. When our close friend and collaborator Jimmy Pol showed the main riff and lead to Paúl, everything came together quickly. The song wrote itself. It was like it already existed and just needed people to interpret it. So why a video

Thank you British Columbia
Thank you British Columbia! We drove 2,200 miles straight to start this tour with you. It was a big drive for a Bigger Payoff. In Vanouver, it was the first warm day of the year. We felt it. From a pre-show bbq on a rooftop overlooking the city, to an amazing show where we felt momentum from our previous visit, it was the beginning we NEEDED after 32 hours of driving. Thank you! Un grato placer ver gente de Mexico y Chile en el show. Gracias por venir! Sunny Vancity with ou

Trying something different
As an independent band, we need to write our own playbook. Too much time is wasted following an elusive algorithm. Today we officially announced that our new album, Ofensas, is now available to order as a physical-only release on vinyl, three months before it hits streaming services in its entirety. We have been releasing songs from it for over a year and are excited to share the full vision. Why do it this way? The standard model doesn't work well for smaller, independent p

Getting busy
We're continue to get ready for our upcoming tour in Western Canada. The weeks before we head out things get busy: Merch orders, van repairs, rehearsals, logistics. We're putting the pieces of the puzzle together and hoping for a little bit of luck along our way. To add to our plate, we decided to release and announce something special way earlier than we intended too. Stay tuned.

More Music, less algorithm
Back in the rehearsal studio this week. We continue working on new songs (3 or 4 new skeletons so far) even while we have material recorded and ready to be released. It's a great feeling to stay in the creative flow, even amongst the craziness of the world. This clip is from a unreleased song, one of our most ambitious compositions yet. We tried blending and transitioning between Caribbean/Latin flavor and punk/hardcore/metal grooves. It's fun as hell to play. Enjoy!

Locking in / building a home
Building off the grooves we worked on the previous week, a skeleton starts to take form. We worked on how the mutes in this verse should go until we thought they sounded filthy enough. It's gonna be time for lyrics soon, plenty to say there... A dozen people or so saw the blog post from last week, that's a dozen people that decided to visit. For a band like us, the only thing that makes sense is to keep the art the # 1 priority, having you here feels healthier than the platfo

How it starts
A lot of people ask us how we write our songs; the answer is almost always rhythm. One riff will send us on a quest to find a series of rhythms that flow well together until a skeleton is formed. Here's an example of a groove we worked on just last week We go home with a recording of these to: iterate on the structure, add guitars and melodies, think of lyrics. We'll be back in our room in a few days to craft the next step in this tune. Peace!
